Yellow Onyx
Yellow Onyx is a natural semi-precious stone, where soft beige and golden-brown waves run across a warm, honeyed base. Every slab is unique: in nature, no two are ever the same.
Onyx carries light. It lets light pass through to a depth of several centimetres, so backlighting brings out the pattern and depth in a striking way. It is exactly this quality that makes onyx a prized material for prestige interior surfaces.
Yellow Onyx is suited above all to decorative surfaces: back-lit wall panels, bar counters, reception desks and bathroom accent surfaces. It is a luxurious detail that draws the eye.
GMI makes onyx surfaces to measure: measuring, fabrication and installation across Estonia and Scandinavia.
Where it works
- Back-lit wall panels and decorative walls
- Bar counters and reception desks
- Bathroom accent surfaces

Onyx is a more delicate stone than granite or quartz, so it is used for decorative surfaces rather than for high-use kitchen worktops.
Character
- Warm, honeyed base with golden-brown and beige wave-like veins
- Partly translucent, suited to backlighting
- Every slab unique, the pattern does not repeat

Care
Onyx is a natural, porous stone that needs gentle care. Wipe the surface with a soft cloth after use, avoid acidic cleaners and sharp knocks. To prevent staining we recommend sealing the surface; acidic liquids (lemon, wine, vinegar) should be wiped away at once. With the right care, onyx keeps its depth and shine for years.
